In this workshop, participants used methods derived from corporate strategic planning to create three scenarios describing alternative possible futures for the field of CHI. The group then used these scenarios to address the question of common ground. The workshop was designed to be of interest to educators and managers involved in the development of CHI professionals as well as individual researchers and practitioners thinking about their future work or career plans.
